Agenda for Meeting Wednesday February 4th, 2009 at 7:00 pm:
1) Discuss proposed date for Ahepa Greek Family Food & Wine Festival. Appoint a Festival Steering Committee for our 5th Annual Greek Festival.
2) Appoint a Chapter Organizing Committee for our 85th Anniversary Celebration.
3) Updates on Membership.
4) Update on District events by Supreme Counselor John Galanis

Chapter News and Announcements
1. The AHEPA 50th, ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON will take place on SUNDAY May 3rd, 2009 at the beautiful & prestigious BLUEMOUND COUNTRY CLUB. Everyone in our Greek community should attend this momentous & historical event. We call upon all past recipients & their families to show your support & pride. We’d love to see you there & share your success. Please contact Dr. Dean Copoulos at 414-759-3614, Jim Jafferis at 262-786-7574, or Tim Stasinoulias at 262-442-0422 for further info & reservations.

2. We welcome our High School graduating seniors to apply for an AHEPA Chapter 43 Scholarship by March 1, 2009. Applications are available at Sts. Constantine & Helen (414-778-1555) and at Annunciation (414-461-8728) as well as numerous High schools throughout the Milwaukee Metropolitan area. This is our 50th! And we’d love to have you be a deserving recipient and share in your success!

3. CrAzY hAt Luncheon – The Daughters of Penelope invite you to attend on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at The Wisconsin Club. Details will follow.

4. On a more somber note: Our entire Chapter would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of our dear departed Brother, Mr. Nick Athens including our Brothers Leon Athens, George Klonis, Nick Athens, and George Konstantakis. Zoi se sas!

President’s Corner

I would like to THANK our entire Chapter and membership for their continued support! God Bless all of you! We have a big year ahead of us and we all need to step forward and participate in these upcoming events: Our 50th Annual AHEPA Scholarship Luncheon, 2nd Annual Daughters of Penelope Crazy Hat Luncheon, The 5th Annual AHEPA Greek Food & Wine Festival, and last but not least our Chapters 85th, (Founded on March 17th, 1924) Anniversary celebration this fall 2009! Let’s have fun as one Greek community and celebrate our heritage & history. We have a lot to be proud of! In conclusion, I would like to personally extend my condolences to the family of Kirio (MR.) Nick Athens and Mrs. Athens. Zoi se mas! He meant a lot to me and my family.
