Agenda for Meeting Wednesday March 4th, 2009 at 7:00 pm:
1) Discuss and approve a date for this years AHEPA Food & Wine Festival.
2) Update on the visit by District 13 Governor Louis Atsaves.
3) Discuss the 1st Annual AHEPA MARROW Basketball Tournament.

Agenda for Meeting Wednesday March 18th, 2009 at 7:00 pm:
1. Our Chapter's 85th Anniversary is on March 17, 2008. We will have a social for our membership to honor this day including a LENTEN meal. Details to follow. RSVP would be appreciated!

Chapter News and Announcements

1. The deadline is March 1st for submitting an AHEPA Scholarship application. Please contact Dr. Dean Copoulos (414-759-3614) or our Church offices. (March 15th is the deadline for the District and National Scholarship Applications)

2. Our 50th Annual Scholarship Luncheon will take place on Sunday May 3rd, 2009 at the beautiful Bluemound Country Club.

3. LENTEN DINNER sponsored by The Daughters of Penelope on Monday March 2nd immediately following the "Kathara Deftera" church services at Sts. Constantine & Helen. The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church also will participate in this service. Great opportunity to start off Lent with Orthodox fellowship and a low cost delicious meal.

4. The FIRST ANNUAL AHEPA MARROW National Invitational Basketball Tournament will be held March 12-15th in Chicago, IL. "Join a Basketball Tournament that Saves Lives". Note: We are in the process of putting together our boys and men's teams so please contact Nick Ganos, Tony Nestoras, or Tim Stasinoulias(262-442-0422)for details. The deadline is March 5th,2009.

5. CrAzY hAt Luncheon - Daughters of Penelope Saturday, May 2, 2009 at The Wisconsin Club. Details will follow.

6. GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE on Sunday April 5th 2009 in GREEK TOWN at 2:30pm in Chicago. We will join the march in the parade along with our District 13 Ahepan brothers. This will be a prideful and fun event! (There is a lot of interest, so RSVP to Tony Nestoras or Tim Stasinoulias; we may secure a bus so everyone can go down together. Cost details will be discussed.

President's Corner

As you can see from our Newsletter there's a lot going on with AHEPA these next few months, so please support these events. I'm excited about the prospects of fielding an AHEPA Basketball Team for the upcoming tournament. It's important for our youth and our community as well as it is a worthy cause. Finally, congratulations to our membership for our Chapter #43 85th Anniversary in March, 2009.!
