Chapter News and Announcements

1. AHEPA Sunday service will be this Sunday May 31st, 2009 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, immediately following the divine liturgy. We hope to see many members in attendance.
2. The 5th Annual “OPA” Greek Festival will be held Friday July 24 -Sunday July 26th at the AHEPA Chapter No. 43 Grounds. Great Food, Music, Beer, Greek Wine Tastings, a Historical Exhibit, Bakery and Raffle. Please volunteer your time and talent, to help raise money for our, Churches and Neighborhood philanthropic projects.
3. Annual District 13 Convention this year will be held on Friday June 5th through Sunday June 7th 2009 at the Homewood Suites in Orland Park, IL. We are sending delegates to this event.
4. Texas Hold-Em Tournament Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the lodge – 3pm till ?? - $75 and $125 buy-in. Proceeds to benefit AHEPA Building Fund. Contact Danny Goumenos for more information.

Presidents Corner

Wow! Is one of the words to describe this year’s 50th Anniversary AHEPA Chapter 43 Scholarship Awards Luncheon held at the beautiful Bluemound Country Club. By all accounts everyone had a wonderful time. With 190 in attendance along with some very generous donations, it was also one of our most successful. Congrats once again to everyone who was honored and thanks to everyone who made this historic event possible. Also, thanks to Senator Ted Kanavas, who on behalf of the Wisconsin State Senate presented our Chapter with a special citation honoring the 50th anniversary of the Scholarship program.

Finally, our OPA Greek Festival! (July 24 – 26, 2009). We need your help and support to make this our best festival yet!
