Agenda for Meeting Wednesday September 2nd, 2009 at 7:00 pm:

1) "OPA" Greek Festival Official Report including a current financial report.

2) Election of AHEPA Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors: The following terms are expiring: Dean Copoulos, George Gamouras, Nicholas Ganos, Peter Gaveras, and Steve Gaveras.

3) There will also be a meeting following the Chapter meeting to select
officers for the AHEPA Scholarship Foundation for the coming year.

Agenda for Meeting Wednesday September 23rd, 2009 at 7:00 pm:
1) This meeting will be for the express purpose of laying out the events for the coming year including next year's festival. Please bring your input !

Chapter News and Announcements

1. Fires in Greece - Here is a statement released by Nicholas A. Karacostas, Supreme President of AHEPA in response to the current fires raging in Greece......"Our thoughts and prayers are with the thousands of residents the northern suburbs of Athens affected by the fires. We commend the heroic efforts of first-responders who are battling these fires, and are appreciative of the assistance provided by other European Union countries as well as from Turkey. “We have been in contact with the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Washington, and we have made the resources of AHEPA available should they be required." Our Chapter #43 will help in any way it can!

2. Congratulations to brother John Galanis on his election to the AHEPA National Board of Trustees. BRAVO!!.

3. Congratulations to the Winners of our "OPA" Greek Festival Raffle:

Presidents Corner
The only thing I have to say about our 5th Annual "OPA" Greek Festival is THANK YOU! THANK YOU to our Festival Committee, Volunteers, Daughters of Penelope, Sponsors, Chapter Members, and of course everyone who came out to enjoy our wonderful festival. We were blessed with great weather again this year and great public/community spport. This was by far our most successful festival to date and it will help Milwaukee Chapter 43 do some great things. The reason we do this festival is to give back to our Hellenic and local communities! We are finally in a position to do so! Oh and one more thing! BRAVO! and Congratulations to all of you! You should be very proud!
