1) Discuss Events for November 18th and December 5thand appoint planning committee members to organize these events.
2) Report on meeting with the Daughters of Penelope and the event calendar for 2009-2010.

1) This meeting is a planning meeting to coordinate the Terry Poulos event on November 18th and the 85th Anniversary Celebration on December 5th.

Chapter News and Announcements

1. SPECIAL EVENT NOTICE! November 18, 2009 at 7:00pm at AHEPA HALL! We are proud to have as our guest speaker Mr. Terry Poulos. Terry, a Chicago native and fellow AHEPAN will present his fascinating experience working for the National Football League’s officiating program as a Replay Video Operator. In his 11th season, Terry works games around the country every weekend during football season. Also, since 1995, he has served as sports editor, columnist, and feature writer for The Greek Star newspaper, America’s oldest at 105 years. He has also been on the committee for the annual N.H.I.B.T basketball tournament as well as the Supreme Ahepa Athletics Hall of Fame selection committee. This fall, he is set to unveil a new website, www.thesportsindex.com, the world’s first composite stock index of sports-related publicly traded firms. It will track more than 500 stocks in the areas of sports, games, entertainment, and education as well as offer commentary on the business of sports in general. Stay tuned! Everyone is welcome. 2. The Annual Daughters of Penelope Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Thursday November 12th from 7pm-8:30pm at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. The delicious meal will be catered by brother Tim Triantafilliou, owner of Prime Minister. Please call Jeanne Krikelas at 414-464-9779 for reservations. Also, tables for parties of 8-10 people may also be reserved. This is a worthy and fun event. Please show your support.

3. We are planning our Chapters 85th Anniversary Celebration & Salute to our past presidents as we speak. Our proposed date is Saturday December 5th. Details will be finalized and available on our website, our church bulletins, and at our meeting on October 21st. Again, we need volunteers as well as everyone’s support.

4. Membership: We need everyone’s help in making sure all outstanding membership dues are brought current through 2009. There will be a special mailing regarding this issue in the next few weeks. Also, we are currently emailing our newsletter to those members who provided their email address. If you have email, please send us your address so we can add you to our list. As you can see, we have an action packed calendar of exciting events over the next few months. We are committed to providing opportunities to hear some interesting and insightful guest speakers over the next months that will benefit the Ahepa, Hellenic, and local communities.
