Begin appointment of committee chairmen for our 2. The Greek Independence Day Parade organized by ENOSIS, will again take place in Chicago’s GREEKTOWN on Sunday April 25, 2010 starting at 1:30pm. Milwaukee’s Chapter 43 plans to march with their fellow brothers along side the District 13 float. All Ahepans and their families are welcome. If there is enough interest we may be able to rent a bus like we did last year.(it was a lot of fun!) Please visit enosis.org for more information. District 13 Daughters of Penelope invite you to the Preserve our Hellenic Heritage event! Wine & Hors d’ oeuvre party, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. $35 donation. The museum is located at 801 W. Adams St. Tickets available by calling Dorothea Sarandos. 4. We had two boys teams and one mens team compete very successfully in the Ahepa Chicago Narrow Basketball tournament in March. The boys teams sported brand new jerseys that read “Milwaukee Ahepa 43”. Congrats to Dimitri Itsines on winning the 3 Point shooting contest and to Dino Poulos for being named to the all-tournament team. Again thanks to Coach Steve Itsines, Coach Steve Dietz, Dr. Dean Copoulos, Peter Copoulos, and our Chapter for all your support. We also have an Ahepa Mens team competing in the 80th NHIBT Basketball tournament in Oak Park, Il on April 8,9,10,11. Good luck to them! 5. The Annual District 13 Convention will be held in Merrillville, Indiana in June 2010 and the 88th AHEPA FAMILY SUPREME CONVENTION will take place in Montreal, Canada July 11-18. 6. Our Chapter would like to thank our honored guest Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas for his great presentation on March 3rd at our Politics, Greek Heritage, & Social Night! Thanks to all who attended. Also, many thanks to Tim Triantafillou of Prime Minister & Peachtree Restaurants for his delicious Lenten meal. 7. We are currently accepting 2010 dues. We need and value your support. 8. Our 6th Annual “OPA” Greek Festival will be held July 23-25!!! President’s Corner
